Clinical Supervision
I provide off-site clinical supervision to MFT interns and Associate Social Workers who are practicing psychotherapy in settings such as non-profit agencies, government programs, schools and counseling centers. I am able to sign off on all clinical hours required for licensure, including Child and Family hours. In adherence to the requirements of the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, I complete 6 hours of training in Clinical Supervision every two years, keeping myself up to date on legal and ethical issues, best practices for supervision and the licensing requirements of MFTi’s and ASW’s.
My supervisory approach starts with a conversation about your experience, professional interests, current populations that you are serving, and your goals for supervision. The majority of supervision sessions revolve around informal case presentations in which we track and discuss your most relevant cases over time. Based on your experience and needs, my role might range from teaching and advising you on many details of your cases, to simply providing a dialogue within which you work out your own formulations and strategies.
Please note; at this time, I do not offer private practice internships.
